Actually, i wrote the book on foreclosures and taxes. This is not a good time to buy. Many people have fallen for that, and many have already lost their homes, due to foreclosure. My reccomendation right now, would be to buy with cash. Or buy, so that you have a very low interest rate, as well as a low monthly payment, and be able to pay it out in just a few short years. I do not mean a long term payment. Stay away from balloon payments, they are trouble right now, and you could end up loosing your petunias.
